RYOUJI KAJI At first glance, Kaji doesn't seem like a good match with The Star. His story involves deceit, spying, and ultimate failure. However, Kaji exhibits traits associated with The Star. Near the end of his story, he knows that his death is inevitable, but he makes peace with this and continues to strive for success in the face of fate. Kaji carries a bright spark of hope, symbolized by his garden in the midst of a battelfield. He inspires Ikari Shinji to return to battle, and he truly loves and cares for Katsuragi Misato.
