Reference

The first thing I needed to to was find good reference pictures. Artbooks are usually good for this, but the person who commissioned it indicated that she wanted the television version of the Rose Bride, and the only Revolutionary Girl Utena artbook I own is for the movie, which redesigned the dress completely.

So it was off to the web. As always, when you're not looking for something, it's everywhere and when you *are* looking for something, you can't ever find it. It took a while to find some decent images, but I managed to luck out and score two large images of the character design, and a few smaller images with the color version of the outfit.

Here are the images I found. Because I hadn't thought about doign this website until I was partially through sewing the costume, I didn't keep track of what sites I downloaded them from. If you recognize a picture as yours, email me and I'll either credit and link you or remove it, as you wish.
