updates 3/21/2001 Wow, this looks like it might be the last update before the con! The almost-final game schedule is on the Gaming Webpage, there is a schedule of anime showings available from the Anime Webpage, and there are a few minor updates to the Panels Webpage. What a long strange trip it's been 3/18/2001 Our children's programming director will be unable to attend to con, and we are unable to find a suitable replacement at this time, so we will not be offering children's programming this year. It's so far on the drawing board for next year, though.
3/17/2001 Some minor updates to the list of panels. And Andrew Probert will not be able to join us due to a death in his family. We extend our deepest sympathies.
3/16/2001 We've got programming! For a look at what's in store, check out the panel schedule. And Paul Riddell isn't going to be able to make it this year. *sniff* We'll miss you!
3/8/2001 Updated the Giant List o'Games. What a surprise. :)
3/7/2001 Updated the Giant List o'Games.
3/5/2001 New programming item: children's programming. Announced, of course, shortly after I'd emailed out the latest progress report. Sigh.
2/28/2001 Updated the games list and some Dealer's Room info, mostly the .pdf form, the table prices and deadlines, and added the Assistant DR Director's email address for contacting her.
2/21/2001 John Picacio will be unable to attend due to a professional commitment. We'll miss you, John! Come back next year! I also fixed the gaming guys' addresses, one of which had changed and was causing bounces.
2/20/2001 Sorry to say, Rick Klaw will not be attending this year as previously announced, having chosen to get married instead. We wish him all the best, and hope the happy couple can join us next year! I also updated the list of games for AggieCon, and added Kat Butt Comix to the guest list.
2/8/2001 Someone informed me that I'd managed to get the name of MaryAnn Harris -- Charles de Lint's wife and musical partner -- wrong. Oops. Its fixed now. Sorry. Mea culpa. My bad. All die. O the embarassment. And I stuck up an explanation of the references on the cast list/staff bio page. Not that anyone cares. :) Additionally, we've got the first master game list available for perusal.
2/7/2001 Just a wee small update: Julia Blackshear Kosatka has confirmed her attendance, and I added a little more information on the Rocky Horror Picture Show to the website.
2/1/2001 It seems I can't turn around without tripping over more guests. :) We have just received confirmation that Lillian Stewart Carl, Cat Conrad, Roxanne Longstreet Conrad, and Radio Free Oz will be attending AggieCon this year.
1/31/2001 Man, it's been a busy two weeks since the last time I updated the page! Julie Caitlin Brown will be appearing as our Media Guest of Honor, and she has agreed to perform for us! Additionally, Charles de Lint and his wife, MaryAnn Harris will also be performing for us! Once we get the music schedules finalized, we'll be sure to let you know. Joe Lansdale will again be attending this year. There have been more entries in the Restaurant Guide, and to reassure the people who have been asking, yes the Rocky Horror Picture Show will again be shown this year on Friday and Saturday at midnight. The F.A.Q. for the Dealer's Room is also up.
1/17/2001 Rick Klaw confirmed his attendance as one of our guests. I've also just created the B/CS Restaurant Guide to aid AggieCon attendees in picking places to dine if they wish to avoid campus food.
12/04/2000 We've just got an offsite forum for random AggieCon babble. Also, the deadline for pre-registration has just been fixed as Friday, March 9th. P>
11/17/2000 We've just got a listserv, AGGIECON-L, for emailing periodic updates and other con news. P>
11/15/2000 Melanie Rawn has graciously agreed to be one of our guests! Clockwork Storybook and Living Room Games also have confirmed their attendance at AggieCon 2001. Is that all of what I was coyly referring to in the last update? Nope ... there's still more cool stuff to come. Stay tuned. I've also added our new charity auction director to the cast list on our contact page. Still nobody's emailed me about not being able to figure out any of the references on that page, so I'll assume that all of you out there are just excellent sorts of people who can get them all. Or that nobody but me really cares, which is probably a wee bit closer to the truth. P>
11/13/2000 Cleared up one or two things. Our principal guests so far: Martha Wells and Charles de Lint. And that's not all -- there's even more cool stuff in the works. We're dying to tell you all about it, but can't just yet. Rest assured, it's driving us crazy, too. :)
11/11/2000 WE'VE GOT CHARLES DE LINT! WOO-HOO! (No, we're not excited about that at all, why on earth would you think so?) We also have a couple more guest confirmations. There's a few more things in the pipeline that are also verra, verra excitin', so please keep checking back -- we'll let you know as soon as ever we can. This update also includes a new gaming request form for any GM or Storyteller who wants to run a game at AggieCon 2001.
10/15/2000 Huge overhaul! New slogan! New graphics! Very little new information! I'll be updating the guests page within the week, if all goes well, since we've had a couple of new confirmations, and also if things go well, I'll debut the gaming request form and perhaps a guest bio update form. The membership, artists' and dealers' registration forms are now in a .pdf format, because it was getting tres difficile to keep them all looking good in all browsers on all systems. The banners are still the old banners, but will also be updated soon.
9/18/2000 Added more guests to the list and updated the prices for dealer's room tables. Working on a Game Request Form for the gaming page, but it's not up yet. Check back for it.
9/11/2000 We've been filling out our officer roster, and that's what this update has concerned itself with.

It's been a veritable waterfall of guests lately. Plus, banners, banners, banners! And a bit of minor housekeeping here and there, not really worth mentioning.
7/28/2000
Yet more guest confirmations coming in. And I'm starting to work on an AggieCon 32 banner for those of you who really, really want a pretty picture to put on your website advertising us. Check back to see if it's up yet.

Did the first major overhaul, tweaking the formatting and layout. I think it looks much nicer now, especially since the text stays put where I want it. Also created that nifty navigation list you see over to the left there.

Got the new web page online. Now's the time for people to test it and email me to tell me all the things that aren't working right. Have at it, folks! |
